Suzanne van Arsdale

Suzanne Van Arsdale is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in law, research, and policy. Currently serving as Senior Research Manager at the Institute for Law & AI since September 2020 and as a Law & Policy Fellow at the Wild Animal Initiative since October 2021, Suzanne has previously held roles such as Research Manager and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the same institute. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Attorney at Sidley Austin LLP, where legal analysis for patent litigation was conducted and pro bono work in immigration and veterans affairs was collaborated on. Additionally, experiences encompass positions such as Biotechnology Legal Fellow and Legal Intern at various law firms and the U.S. Department of Justice, along with foundational roles as a Legal Administrative Assistant and Research Assistant in neurobiology and neurophysiology labs. Suzanne holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Biology, and Biomolecular Science from Clarkson University.
