Michael Lang

Michael Lang is an accomplished conservation professional with extensive experience in environmental policy and advocacy. Currently serving as the Oregon Senior Policy Manager at the Wild Salmon Center since October 2022, Lang focuses on the protection of wild salmon rivers across the North Pacific, emphasizing the interconnectedness of ecosystems and communities. Previously, from November 1993 to May 2022, Lang held the position of Conservation Director at Friends of the Columbia Gorge, where significant contributions to conservation efforts were made. Lang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Oregon State University, completed between 1982 and 1986. Additional educational qualifications include studies at the University of Minnesota.
