Carolyn Valdez Morris

Carolyn Valdez Morris has worked in a variety of roles, beginning with a SCGF Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy in 2010. Carolyn then worked as a Graduate Student at the University of Washington from 2010 to 2014. Morris then worked as a Visiting Assistant in Research (PhD Candidate) and Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University from 2014 to 2016. From 2016 to 2022, they worked as a PTD Process Engineer at Intel Corporation. Currently, Morris is a Research Associate at Wildcat Discovery Technologies.

Carolyn Valdez Morris completed their high school education in 2006 at Littlerock High School, where they graduated as Valedictorian with a High School Diploma. Carolyn then attended Caltech from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, with a minor in English. Finally, they attended the University of Washington from 2010 to 2015, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry.
