Dilni Kaveendi Chandrasiri

Dilni Kaveendi Chandrasiri has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. In 2013, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the College of Chemical Sciences, Institute of Chemistry Ceylon. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a PhD Candidate and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Rhode Island. In 2019, they worked as a Li-ion Battery Research Scientist at Ecellix Inc., where they developed materials for high energy density Silicon anodes, conducted electrode and slurry development, and performed materials characterization. In 2020, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Berkeley Lab, where they optimized electrode slurries and laminates for electrodes with high loading, and worked to understand the impact of process conditions to minimize the use of inactive components of the li-ion battery electrodes. Currently, they are working as a Scientist II at Wildcat Discovery Technologies.

Dilni Kaveendi Chandrasiri has a diverse educational background. Dilni Kaveendi obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from the University of Rhode Island between 2014 and 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Graduate Chemist degree in Chemistry(Hons) from the College of Chemical Sciences, Institute of Chemistry Ceylon between 2010 and 2013. Dilni Kaveendi also holds a Diploma in Management from the Australian College of Business and Technology, which they earned between 2009 and 2010.
