Han Wang

Han Wang has worked in various scientific roles since 2014. In 2014, they were a Research Intern at Mitacs Inc. In 2015, they completed their Master Thesis at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2016, they were a Research and Development Intern at Aquion Energy. From 2017 to 2020, they were at Carnegie Mellon University as a Ph.D. During this time, they set up battery test devices and software for a large amount of 18650 cells, analyzed large sets of electrochemical test data of aged Li-ion 18650 cells with different cathode chemistry, characterized and analyzed both anode and cathode materials, and correlated the aging mechanism on materials level with that on cell level under different cycling conditions. In 2020, they joined Wildcat Discovery Technologies as a Lead Scientist, Scientist - II, and Scientist - I.

Han Wang received a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Energy Materials and Devices from Sichuan University in 2011-2015. Han then obtained a Master's degree in Materials Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 2015-2017. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Materials Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017-2020.
