Ruthie Schnitt (she/ her/ hers)

Ruthie Schnitt serves as a Wilderness Guide at The Wildland Trekking Company, where responsibilities include planning backcountry hiking trips and ensuring guest comfort through exceptional customer service. Previously, Ruthie held positions as a Crew Lead/Botanist with Northern Arizona University, focusing on data collection and botanical training, and worked as a Farmworker in various roles across multiple companies from 2011 to 2017. Additional experience includes Orchard Management Assistant at Capitol Reef National Park, where Ruthie contributed to historic orchard maintenance and data collection on tree health, as well as various field technician roles assessing environmental impacts in national parks. Ruthie also has experience in youth leadership as a Youth Advisor for a Jewish fellowship and as a Tour Leader at the University of California, Davis, where educational programming emphasized ecological principles. Ruthie holds a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems from the University of California, Davis.
