U.s. Conservation Policy Manager at Wildlands Network

Misty Boos is an experienced conservation professional currently serving as the U.S. Conservation Policy Manager at Wildlands Network since February 2023, after a role as Policy Assistant. Prior to this, Misty held the position of Program Director at Monarch Joint Venture from March 2023 to January 2024. With extensive leadership experience, Misty was the Executive Director of Wild Virginia from March 2013 to July 2022 and has been involved in conservation efforts through various roles, including Master Naturalist at Rivanna Master Naturalists and Water Monitor at Streamwatch. Misty’s earlier experience includes management roles at the Jefferson Area Board for Aging and research positions with the Thomas Jefferson Soil and Water Conservation District and The Nature Conservancy. Misty holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Planning from the University of Tasmania and a Cum Laude Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Southern Oregon University.
