Luke Hunter serves as the Executive Director of the Big Cats Program at the Wildlife Conservation Society since September 2019. Additionally, Luke holds positions as an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, an Adjunct Professor at the State University of New York College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry, and an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Previously, Luke was the Chief Conservation Officer, President, and Executive Director at PANTHERA and served as a Research Associate at Monash University. Luke's academic credentials include a PhD in Zoology from the University of Pretoria and a post-doctoral degree in Lion spatial socio-ecology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
