Ray Victurine serves as Director of Conservation Finance at WCS and the Wildlife Conservation Society since January 2004. In this capacity, Ray directs global programs aimed at mitigating industrial and infrastructural impacts on biodiversity and ecosystem services by collaborating with governments on policy development and working with the private sector to implement best practices. The focus centers on promoting investments that minimize harm to nature while ensuring long-term conservation financing. Ray's academic background includes studies at Georgetown University, a PhD candidacy in Geography/Economics at the University of Washington, an MS in Resource Economics from Texas A&M University, and education at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
