Jeremy Freund has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and environmental conservation. Jeremy currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Wildlife Works, a leading company in REDD+ project development and management. Prior to this role, Jeremy was the Vice President of Carbon Development at the same company.

In the past, Jeremy worked as a Geospatial / IT Specialist at UC Berkeley's Geospatial Innovation Facility, where they utilized GIS and remote sensing techniques to study the human-environment interface in California and rural Africa. Jeremy also developed methodologies for biomass estimation and monitoring land use using sustainable approaches.

Before UC Berkeley, Jeremy was a Remote Sensing / GIS Scientist and Graduate Student Researcher at UCSB. In this role, they focused on using GIS and remote sensing techniques to detect climatic hazards' impacts on food security and developed a crop assessment tool for the Southern African Development Community.

Jeremy started their career as an Associate Professional Staff at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where they were responsible for satellite ground system development and test for the TIMED satellite. Jeremy also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, where they developed the ground control system for the Student Nitric Oxide Explorer satellite program and built a real-time data visualization system.

Overall, Jeremy Freund has demonstrated expertise in technology, environmental conservation, and using geospatial methods for research and analysis.

Jeremy Freund completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1993 to 1997. Jeremy then pursued a Master's degree in Geography at UC Santa Barbara from 2003 to 2006.
