Catherine S. has had a varied work experience. In 2017, they were an English Teaching Fellow for Princeton in Asia. In 2018, they were an Undergraduate Student Researcher and an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Princeton University, as well as a Research Assistant at the University of Edinburgh School of Engineering. In 2019, they worked as a Barista at La Colombe Coffee Roasters. In 2021, they were a Research Assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital. Currently, they are a Research Associate at Wildtype.

Catherine S. attended Canton High School before enrolling at Princeton University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and East Asian Studies, Materials Science & Engineering. In April 2017, they obtained a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from Princeton in Asia. Catherine then obtained a Certified Wilderness First Responder certification from Wilderness Medical Associates International in February 2018.
