John Cole

John Cole is a seasoned legal and claims management professional with extensive experience in the insurance industry. Currently serving as a Partner at Wiley Rein LLP since August 2002, John has previously held prominent positions including Executive Vice-President and Chief Claims Officer for North America at Zurich Financial Services, and Executive Vice-President of Legal Services at Zurich North America. Additional roles encompass senior leadership positions at Maryland Casualty Company, including Senior Vice President and General Counsel, as well as Vice-President and Chief Claims Attorney. Early career experience includes a role as Claim Supervisor at Liberty Mutual Insurance. John holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a BA from Rutgers University - Camden, along with further education from Harvard University.
