Chamikara Gunaratna

Chamikara Gunaratna is a seasoned professional in software development and architecture with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Director of Research Software Development at Wiley since May 2019, Chamikara has previously held leadership positions at N-Able Private Limited as Head of Application Development, and at Pearson as Principal Product Architect, where architectural guidance was provided across key product platforms. Prior roles include AVP of Application Programs at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Technical Development Manager positions at both Deutsche Bank and Stratergic Systems Solutions, and various development roles at companies such as Sigmer Technologies, JKCS, Palmware Private Limited, and Softlogic Information Systems. Chamikara holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology for eCommerce from the University of Sussex, obtained in 2004.
