Dr Jamie Barker

Dr. Jamie Barker is a Reader and Senior Lecturer in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology at Loughborough University since November 2017. Additionally, Dr. Barker serves as a Podcast Co-Host for The Top Order Podcast and as an Associate Editor for Mental Health Science with Wiley. With extensive experience as a Club Sport Psychologist for Leicestershire County Cricket Club and as Lead Sport Psychologist for the England Men’s Senior Cerebral Palsy Team under The Football Association, Dr. Barker has been instrumental in developing psychological programs that enhance player and coach performance. Active in academia, Dr. Barker holds editorial roles with the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology and International Review of Sport and Exercise Psychology, alongside various positions within The British Psychological Society. Dr. Barker’s academic credentials include a PhD in Sport Psychology and a strong foundation in clinical hypnosis and sports science.
