Tomi Sawyer serves as the Chief Drug Hunter and President at Maestro Therapeutics since September 2019, while also contributing as a founding board member of the Peptide Drug Hunting Consortium and the Saint Albert the Great Institute. An influential figure in academia, Tomi holds the title of Distinguished Alumni Entrepreneur and serves on the Board of Advisors for the University of Arizona's Chemistry & Biochemistry Programs, along with being a Distinguished Alumni Scholar at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Additionally, Tomi is an Adjunct Professor at both Northeastern University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has established an editorial presence with Taylor & Francis Group and John Wiley and Sons. Previously, from 2014 to July 2019, Tomi was a Distinguished Scientist at Merck Research Laboratories. Tomi received a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from the University of Arizona and a B.Sci. in Chemistry from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
