Darin White is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology, security, and creative storytelling. Currently serving as a Makerspace Maker at Wilfrid Laurier University since October 2017, Darin has successfully built out a makerspace in the Laurier Library while engaging students, staff, and the community in various hands-on learning activities. As the owner and storyteller at makebright since August 2014, Darin combines a passion for photography and creativity in Waterloo, Ontario. Prior to these roles, Darin held multiple positions at Research In Motion from 2002 to 2014, including Manager of Security Research, where leadership involved securing BlackBerry products and fostering partnerships to enhance product security. With a background in software development and user-centered design, complemented by degrees from Harvard Business School and the University of Guelph, Darin possesses a diverse skill set that bridges technology and creativity.
