Ryan Taxara, CPRP, has extensive experience in the field of recreation and park district management. Ryan has held various positions in different organizations, including Program Manager at Willamalane Park and Recreation District, where Ryan is responsible for overseeing Youth Programming and Outreach Department programs. Prior to that, Ryan served as a Recreation Supervisor at Durham Recreation and Park District, where Ryan supervised afterschool programs and summer camps. With a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Recreation Administration from California State University, Chico, Ryan has demonstrated a dedication to providing quality programs for communities of all ages.
Willamalane Park and Recreation District
Willamalane Park and Recreation District maintains and operates five recreation facilities and 46 parks and natural areas totaling nearly 1,500 acres. Highlights include Splash! at Lively Park, Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park, 29 miles of hiking and biking trails, and 24 playgrounds. Willamalane offers hundreds of recreation programs to people of all ages and abilities. Created by voters in 1944, Willamalane is a special tax district, separate from the city of Springfield, with its own boundaries.
