Charles Harrington is a distinguished academic and leader in the fields of anthropology, psychology, and education. Currently serving as Professor Emeritus at Columbia University since September 2013, Harrington previously held a faculty position at the same institution from 1967 to 2013, advancing from Assistant Professor to Professor. Additionally, Harrington is the President Emeritus and Chairman Emeritus of the William Alanson White Institute, where leadership was provided from 1992 to 2010. Harrington also served as Director of the Institute for Urban and Minority Education from 1983 to 1992. Education credentials include a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from Harvard University (1962-1968) and an A.B. in Anthropology from Syracuse University (1958-1962).
