Michael Ritter, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in both private practice and academic settings since 2011. Currently serving as a clinical supervisor at Adelphi University's Derner Institute Doctoral Program and as teaching faculty in the doctoral internship program at the William Alanson White Institute, Michael has also held clinical supervisory roles in trauma programs at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and the National Institute for the Psychotherapies. Previous positions include staff psychotherapist at The Village Institute for Psychotherapy and a postdoctoral fellowship at the William Alanson White Institute. Michael's educational background includes a PhD and MA in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University, certification as a postdoctoral psychoanalyst from New York University, and certification as an EMDR Trauma Therapist from the EMDR International Association. Michael also holds a BA in Psychology from Vassar College and graduated from The Dalton School.
