William Payne

William Payne is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the wine, spirits, and cheese industries. Currently serving as Global Legal Director for William Grant & Sons since September 2011, William has held various legal roles including General Counsel for the Americas and USA, as well as Senior Commercial Counsel. Additionally, William serves as a Non-Executive Director at Norseland, Inc. and a Board Director at PMA Canada, contributing valuable insights to both organizations. Previous legal experience includes positions at Heineken UK, Scottish & Newcastle, KPMG UK, and McGrigors. William holds multiple degrees including an L.L.B (hons) from The University of Edinburgh, an MBA from Strathclyde Business School, and a diploma in European Union Competition Law from King's College London.
