Wafa C. has extensive work experience in the field of occupational therapy and mental health. Wafa started their career as a volunteer in the Inpatient Mental Health Unit at William Osler Health System in 2013 and later worked as an Occupational Therapy Student in the Adult Day Treatment Program. During this time, they demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills and worked effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Wafa also gained experience as an Occupational Therapy Student in various organizations, including CAMH, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, Revera Inc., Magicana, and Holland Bloorview. In these roles, they conducted assessments, prescribed adaptive equipment, and managed client treatment plans. Wafa also participated in research projects and received funding for their research on recovery-oriented service delivery in a forensic mental health program.

In 2019, Wafa joined William Osler Health System as a Mental Health Therapist, providing support in the Adult Outpatient Mental Health Program. Wafa C. has also obtained several certifications, including Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD - Group Adaptation Training and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD Foundational Training, both from Dr. Candice Monson & Dr. Philippe Shnaider in 2022 and 2021, respectively. Wafa also received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy - Foundational Training from The Centre for Psychology and Emotion Regulation in 2020. Lastly, they earned the Certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist (CCBT) certification from Adler Graduate Professional School in 2020.
