Kara M. Rabbitt is the Associate Provost of Academic Affairs at William Paterson University of New Jersey. Kara has been with the university in some capacity since 1996, when they started as a professor. In 2005, they were promoted to Associate Dean and then again in 2009 to Interim Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Kara has held their current position since July 2020.

Rabbitt is a dedicated educator with a deep commitment to their students and their success. Kara has worked tirelessly to improve the curriculum and academic offerings at William Paterson, and their efforts have helped to make the university one of the best in the state. Kara is a respected leader within the academic community, and their work has earned their numerous awards and accolades.

Rabbitt is a native of New Jersey and earned their undergraduate degree from Rutgers University. Kara went on to earn their Master's degree and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania.

Kara M. Rabbitt has a PhD from Cornell University and a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Kara also did a visiting at Universite de Poitiers.
