Alan Chan

Alan Chan is a seasoned materials and metallurgical engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and automotive industries. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Materials & Processing at Williams International since June 2021, Alan specializes in metallurgical examinations and operates scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipment. Previously, a Metallurgical Engineer at Ford Motor Company, responsibilities included materials analysis for e-motor component validation. Alan's role as Sr. Staff Scientist at BASF Battery Materials involved managing external lab services and operating advanced laboratory instrumentation. Earlier in the career, Alan contributed to Energy Conversion Devices as a Senior Staff Scientist, where supervisory and managerial skills were honed. Alan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Material Science Engineering from Michigan State University, complemented by minors in chemistry and electrical engineering.
