James Edwards-Scott

James Edwards-Scott has extensive work experience in the field of information security and infrastructure management.

James is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Williams Lea since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Group Information Security Architect at Williams Lea Tag from June 2018 until September 2021.

Before joining Williams Lea Tag, they worked at Cambridge University Press as an Enterprise Security Architect from August 2016 to June 2018 and as an Enterprise Architect from September 2015 to August 2016.

James also gained valuable experience while working at Circle Anglia as an Infrastructure Service Design Manager from September 2012 to August 2015. In this role, they were responsible for leading service design and delivery of IT services to customers.

Earlier in their career, James worked in various roles at Brink's Europe and Developing Markets, including Technical Manager, Infrastructure from December 2010 to August 2012, Manager, Infrastructure Engineering from December 2007 to December 2010, and Senior Infrastructure Analyst from May 2007 to January 2009.

Prior to joining Brink's Europe and Developing Markets, James also worked as a Senior Infrastructure Analyst at Brinks EMEA from April 2007 to March 2009.

Through their diverse roles, James has demonstrated a strong understanding of information security, infrastructure management, and leadership skills.

James Edwards-Scott attended Norwich City College from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Communication, General. Prior to that, they attended Lancaster Boys in Leicester, UK from 1982 to 1986. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in 2018, the Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification from (ISC)² in 2017, and the TOGAF 9.1 Certified (Part 1 & 2) certification from The Open Group in 2015.
