Yu Mei Tam Compton

Yu Mei Tam Compton is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within the design industry. Currently serving as VP and Design Director at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. since October 2019, Compton previously held the position of Design Director at the same company. Prior experience includes roles as Director and Art Director at Pottery Barn from May 2012 to October 2019, and a freelance position as CD/Art Director at Sunset Magazine in early 2011. Additional experience encompasses positions such as Deputy Art Director at Bon Appetit Magazine under Conde Nast, Senior Art Director at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Senior Designer at Frankfurt Balkind, and Graphic Designer at Weiss Whitten Carroll Stagliano. Compton holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising from the University of South Carolina and furthered education at the Miami Ad School Atlanta @ Portfolio Center.
