Michael Farr Jr. has a diverse work experience in the education and theater industry. Michael started their career as a Substitute Teacher in the Evesham Township School District in 2015. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as an English Language Arts Teacher at Northern Burlington County Regional Middle School. Michael also served as a House Services Administrative Assistant at McCarter Theatre Center from 2017 to 2020. In 2018, they joined Willingboro Public Schools as an English Teacher, Showstoppers! Director, and Audio-Visual Specialist. Michael was a Board Member at Unity's Theatre Troupe from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, they became the Artistic Director at Atlantic City Theatre Company. Prior to these roles, they worked as a Division Director at JCC Camps at Medford and as a Writer at Marblehead. Michael also gained experience as a Costume and Scene Shop Technician at Stockton University from 2012 to 2015.
Michael Farr Jr. completed their Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Fairleigh Dickinson University, from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Theatre from Stockton University, from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Michael has obtained several certifications including the "Thoughtful Teacher" certification from the Thoughtful Teacher institution in May 2019. Michael also holds a K-12 English Teacher Certification from the New Jersey Department of Education, which they obtained in January 2018. Furthermore, Michael has a Substitute Teacher Certification from the Burlington County Superintendent of Schools, acquired in June 2015.
