Neil Ruane

VP Asset Management, Regional Aircraft at Willis Lease Finance

Neil Ruane has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Neil started their career as an Engineering Assistant at SR Technics in 2000. Neil then worked at Ryanair as a Technical Document Controller and Materials Officer, responsible for managing technical paperwork and components. At Air Atlanta Aero Engineering, they served as an Engineering Officer, performing engineering support for various aircraft types, and later as a Planning Officer, overseeing paperwork and auditing. Neil then moved on to SGI Aviation as a Technical Manager, providing lease management and consultancy services for commercial aircraft owners and airlines. Neil continued their career at AerCap as a Technical Support Manager, where they managed aircraft leasing, trading, and maintenance services. As a Technical Consultant at CAE Parc Aviation, they conducted independent inspections of aircraft and managed their delivery and re-delivery. Neil was then appointed as the VP Asset Management at Nordic Aviation Capital, where they played a key role in managing a diverse fleet of aircraft and expanding global operations. Currently, they hold the position of VP Asset Management, Regional Aircraft at Willis Lease Finance Corporation, where they provide support for lease transactions, technical evaluations, and external provider management.

Neil Ruane has a diverse education history. In 1999, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of Limerick, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Neil successfully completed their degree in 2003. Later on, in 2006, Neil attended HSI Limerick, where they obtained a Diploma in Business. Neil'stime at HSI Limerick lasted until 2007. Lastly, in 2017, Neil enrolled in the Law Society of Ireland and completed a Certificate in Aviation Leasing & Finance.
