Monica Lonergan

Monica Lonergan has a strong background in human resources and employee relations. Monica has held various roles throughout their career, including positions at Willoughby City Council, MJ Workplace Relations, Genesis Care Limited, GenesisCare, Human Resources & Employee Relations Executive/Consultant, TransGrid, and SDA.

At Willoughby City Council, Monica served as the People & Culture Manager, overseeing a team of specialists and leading the development and execution of strategic HR and WHS plans.

At MJ Workplace Relations, they worked as an HR Consultant, focusing on workplace relations and change.

At Genesis Care Limited, Monica was the HR Transformation Manager, leading strategic initiatives in people development and organizational structure.

At GenesisCare, they served as the HR Manager/Senior HR Business Partner, partnering with the CancerCare Executive Manager and Senior Leaders to meet HR needs across the company.

Monica also has experience as a Human Resources & Employee Relations Executive/Consultant and held multiple roles at TransGrid, including Manager/People Strategy, Manager/People & Culture, Manager/People Development, and Organizational Development Manager.

Early in their career, Monica worked at SDA as an Industrial Relations Officer/Executive Officer, representing the association and its members in industrial commissions and tribunals and providing advice on employment relations.

Monica Lonergan has a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney. Monica went on to complete a Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management at the same university in 2003. Later, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Labour Law & Relations from the University of Sydney in 2012.
