David Shew

Dave is a retired CAL FIRE Officer with over three decades of service. Before retiring in 2018, he served as Staff Chief for the Planning and Risk Analysis Division in the California State Fire Marshal’s Office. He recently established Wildfire DefenseWorks, a consulting firm that seeks ways to improve community wildfire resilience and reduce structure loss from wildfires.
