Kathleen Krol

Kathleen (Katie) Krol, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional in product research and UX with a strong academic background in neuroscience and psychology. Currently serving as a Senior Product Researcher at WillowTree since November 2024, Krol previously worked as a UX Researcher at Bold Insight from September 2022 to November 2024, and held research roles at the University of Virginia, focusing on developmental epigenetics and social development. Krol's doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences examined the interplay between breastfeeding experiences, genetic variations in the oxytocin system, and emotional perception in mothers and infants. Additional research experience spans several roles in various laboratories and the completion of both a Master's in Cognitive Neuroscience at UCL and a Bachelor's in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
