Saundra Barrett

Saundra Barrett has a strong background in software engineering and web development. Saundra is currently working at WillowTree as the Director, Engineering Lead, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at WillowTree from 2021 to 2023. Saundra previously worked at BigBear, LLC as a Senior Software Engineer from 2020 to 2021, where they developed code for the Department of Defense and reengineered the GALE web interface. From 2013 to 2020, Saundra worked at Emory University, starting as a Senior Web Developer before becoming a Lead Software Engineer. At Emory University, they were involved in various activities such as managing other software engineers, improving functionality through UI design, and developing software applications. Saundra was also recognized with the Significant Contribution Award in 2018. Saundra has additional experience working as a Web Developer (Contract) at SunTrust Bank in 2013, a Web Developer/Designer at Unitrends from 2010 to 2013, and as the Owner and Founder of Eggplant Branding from 2008 to 2009. Saundra started their career as an Interactive and Web Developer at Chernoff Newman from 2007 to 2008.

Saundra Barrett attended James Madison University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia Arts and Design. Before attending university, they completed their high school education at Staunton River High School from 1999 to 2003.
