Asif Iqbal

Asif Iqbal is an accomplished professional in the sugar industry, currently serving as the Technical General Manager for Indonesian Sugar Refineries at Wilmar International since June 2019. Prior to this role, Asif held the position of General Manager (Technical) at Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd. from May 2015 to June 2019, overseeing four sugar units and providing technical support for cogeneration plants and a distillery. Asif has also served as Technical Director for India at ED & F Man Commodities India Pvt. Ltd. and held various roles at Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd. from 2000 to 2014, where skills in technical planning, plant operations, and quality assurance were developed. Asif Iqbal holds a Master's Degree in Sugar Technology from the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur, and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Jamia Millia Islamia.
