Lekan Idowu

Lekan Idowu has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Lekan is currently working as the Supply Chain & Traceability Lead (Africa) at Wilmar International since August 2023. Prior to this role, they held positions at Biase Plantations Limited as the Sustainability & RSPO Supply Chain Engineer and the Mill Engineer (Process), from July 2021 to August 2023 and from November 2020 to August 2023, respectively.

Before joining Wilmar International, Lekan worked at Lebukong Investment Nig LTD, where they were a Project Coordinator at Afrohealthplus from February 2020 to October 2020, and an Advisory Board Member from November 2018 to January 2020. Previously, they were a Production and Manufacturing Engineer at Marc Conleth Industries Sdn Bhd from September 2017 to December 2017, and a Market Research Analyst at Bridge Empire Consultancy Sdn Bhd in October 2016.

Lekan started their career as a Petroleum Plant Operations Engineer at NIPCO PLC in September 2015. Overall, Lekan Idowu has demonstrated their expertise in supply chain management, sustainability, engineering, project coordination, and market research throughout their career in various organizations.

Lekan Idowu completed their education at UCSI from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus in Engineering/Industrial Management. Prior to attending UCSI, they attended The Bells Secondary School, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown. Lekan has also obtained several certifications, including being a Certified Chemical Engineer by The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN in 2023. Lekan has also completed various certifications in data science, project management, and engineering from institutions such as Google, LinkedIn, and the Institute of Chemical Engineers.
