Julian Stainback III

Julian Stainback III is an experienced news producer currently working at WILX-TV since May 2022, where responsibilities include producing the weekday 6 p.m. newscast. Prior to this role, Julian served as a culture and mental health reporter at The State News, focusing on fashion, the arts, and campus culture while also covering breaking news. Experience also includes social media production, where content consistency and audience engagement strategies were developed. As executive producer and assignment editor at Focal Point News, Julian coordinated live broadcasts for an Emmy award-winning student newscast. Additionally, Julian has held various positions at Michigan State University, including head editor for MSU Telecasters and social media manager for Focal Point News. Julian holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and Media and Information from Michigan State University.
