Claudia Volpetti, PhD, has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Claudia currently works at Leroy Merlin as the Chief Data Officer, where they have held positions such as Head of Data, Lead Data Scientist, and Senior Data Scientist. Prior to that, Claudia co-founded the Milan Chapter of (WiMLDS) Women in Machine Learning & Data Science, an organization focused on promoting women and gender minorities in the fields of machine learning and data science. Claudia also worked as a Teaching & Researcher Phd Candidate at Politecnico di Milano, focusing on Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing. Claudia was a Visiting PhD Researcher at IDSIA and worked as a Research Fellow at Sapienza Università di Roma. Claudia Volpetti, PhD, has an extensive education history in various fields of study. Claudia began their academic journey in 1999 at Sapienza Università di Roma, where they pursued a degree in Engineering with a major in Business Management. During this time, they focused on Information Technology Engineering. Claudia completed their degree in 2006.
In 2003, Claudia briefly studied in a different location, at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they explored Ingegneria informatica at the Facultat de Informatica(FIB).
Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Claudia obtained a postgraduate certificate in Computer Science Education from Sapienza Università di Roma in 2012-2013. Claudia expanded their educational background even further in 2014, when they earned a postgraduate certificate in Physics Education from Università degli studi Roma TRE.
In 2011, Claudia attended St. Martin's College, where they studied Computer Graphics and gained expertise in this field.
Additionally, Claudia has attended several institutes to enhance their skills. In 2009, they completed a program at the Istituto Europeo di Design, focusing on Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and its components like HTML, DHTML, and CSS.
Claudia's dedication to learning also led their to participate in the Deep Learning Summer School at the Université de Montréal in 2017. This program, hosted by the Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms (MILA), expanded their knowledge in deep learning techniques.
Currently, Claudia is pursuing their PhD at Politecnico di Milano since 2016, specializing in Management Engineering.
