Xi Palazzolo, DVM, M.S

Xi Palazzolo has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and machine learning. Xi is currently serving as the Technical Co-founder at Sunrise AI since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Mentor for Data Science for All at Correlation One starting from July 2022. Xi also worked as an Instructor for Applied Data Science at MIT Professional Education from April 2021.

In addition to their teaching and mentoring roles, Xi has been actively involved in the Women in Machine Learning & Data Science (WiMLDS) community. Xi founded and led the Denver Chapter from February 2021 and served as the Chapter Lead for the Metro Detroit chapter from January 2018 to February 2021.

Xi has also held positions in various companies. Xi worked as the Head of Data Science at Therma° from February 2022 to April 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Principal Data Scientist at Well Data Labs, Inc. from April 2021 to January 2022.

Xi also has experience working as a Lead Senior Data Scientist at Alteryx from September 2020 to April 2021, where they led new product development projects and implemented statistical and advanced analytic methods. Before that, they worked as a Data Science Consultant at Slalom from October 2018 to September 2020, where they designed and deployed data models and algorithms using cloud platforms.

Prior to joining Slalom, Xi worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Tessellate LLC from January 2018 to September 2018. Xi'sresponsibilities included population health analyses, customer segmentation, and developing machine learning algorithms.

Before transitioning to the industry, Xi served as a Data Science Supervisor at Michigan State University from February 2015 to December 2017. Xi supervised a team of eight data analysts and developed a health and nutrition education curriculum for the Chinese American community in Southeast Michigan.
