Magnus Bakken

Magnus Bakken has a comprehensive work experience in various industries. Magnus currently holds the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Wind Catching Systems since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as Salg- og markedsdirektør/Chief Commercial Officer at Goodtech ASA from June 2021 to October 2022.

Before joining Goodtech ASA, Magnus worked at Aibel for nearly nine years. Magnus held multiple roles during their tenure, including Business Development & Sales from May 2018 to June 2021, Commercial Manager Aibel FD&OW from June 2013 to May 2018, and Department Manager from January 2013 to May 2018. In these positions, they were responsible for strategy, business and concept development within renewables, aquaculture, and oil & gas industries. Magnus also managed strategic alliances, subcontracting, and EPC tender management.

Prior to Aibel, Magnus worked at Norconsult AS as a Senior Project Engineer from September 2011 to January 2013. Magnus also gained experience at Ramboll Oil & Gas as a Project Engineer from April 2009 to August 2011, where they specialized in project management, cost estimation, and discipline leadership for concept and FEED studies.

Earlier in their career, Magnus worked as an Analyst at Norges Bank Investment Management from April 2007 to April 2009.

Magnus Bakken pursued their education at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2002 to 2007. During this time, they completed their MSc degree in Industrial economics and technology management.
