Mark Farrell has extensive work experience in various leadership and managerial roles. Mark started their career as a Site Engineer at Grinaker-LTA in 1988 and worked there until 1993. Mark then worked as a Construction Manager at Master Pave from 1993 to 1997. Following that, they joined Hydroxyl Systems Inc. as an Engineering Services & Operations Manager, where they established and directed electrical engineering and in-house equipment fabrication. In 2000, they started working at Koch Membrane Systems as the Director of Systems Engineering and played a key role in transitioning systems fabrication to a globally outsourced model. Mark later served as the Vice President of Global Membrane Manufacturing & Systems Engineering and significantly contributed to multi-million-dollar CapEx investments to support sales growth. Mark also served as the Chairman & Managing Director of Koch Membrane Systems GmbH's board of directors. From 2015 to 2017, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Koch Membrane Systems, where they successfully reduced operating expenses and costs while increasing gross profit. Currently, they are the Vice President of Operations, Waste Treatment at Wind River Environmental.
Mark Farrell attended Port Elizabeth Technikon from 1989 to 1991, where they obtained a National Diploma (ND) in Civil Engineering. Mark then continued their education at the same institution from 1991 to 1992, earning a National Higher Diploma (NHD) in the same field. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the Six Sigma Global Institute in January 2018, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from GoLeanSixSigma.com in December 2017, and Managing Safety Performance from Balmert Consulting in 2016.
