Windigo First Nations Council
Ashley Baum is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in counseling and program management. Currently serving as a Mental Health Counselor at Windigo First Nations Council since April 2024, Ashley previously held a similar role at Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority from September 2022 to April 2024. Ashley's background includes a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor's degree in Humanities from Briercrest College and Seminary. With over eight years of experience at Macdonald Youth Services, Ashley progressed from Youth Care Practitioner to Program Manager, specializing in supporting high-risk youth in group care settings. Additional experiences include roles in support work, faculty assistance, and event management, showcasing a diverse skill set focused on community engagement and individual support.

Windigo First Nations Council
The Windigo Chiefs Council is comprised of the Chiefs of each of our seven (7) member First Nations, and the Council Chair/CEO. Windigo First Nations Council works to deliver a number of programs and services (Health, Education, Resource Development, Economic Development, Financial Advisory Services, Musselwhite Program.) Specific services are also delivered by the Windigo Technical Services Unit, to assist our First Nations in their construction, maintenance and public works.
