AI Group Lead, Director of Research at Windward

Jenny Abramov has over 15 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Jenny'scurrent position is as the AI Group Lead and Director of Research at Windward, a role they began in May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Data Science Team Leader at Windward from February 2020 to May 2023.

Before their time at Windward, Jenny held multiple positions at different companies. At iCarbonX, from September 2018 to January 2020, they served as the AI Team Leader and Algorithm Engineer, leading a team of algorithm and software engineers and overseeing significant algorithmic improvements in a Deep Learning based NLP product.

From December 2016 to January 2019, Jenny was the Founder and Lead at Go Public, where they established and headed a popular meetup and community, recruited and led a team of volunteers, and gained popularity through attention to detail and methodological work.

In 2018, Jenny contributed to the open-source community by re-designing the popular PyTorch repo of "Faster R-CNN" to make it more user-friendly and extensible. During this time, they modularized the entangled implementation into components.

Earlier in their career, Jenny worked as a Tech Lead and Software Engineer at Ducks from March 2015 to August 2016, a Software Engineer at Palantir Technologies from May 2014 to October 2014, and a Software Engineer at NICE Actimize from November 2012 to April 2014, where they designed and developed a profitable financial crime solution acquired by major international banks.

From 2009 to 2011, Jenny was a Researcher at Deutsche Telekom, where they conducted and guided the development of strategies to enhance database security and authored academic papers. Jenny also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Ben Gurion University from October 2009 to September 2010.

Jenny's career began at IAI as a Software Developer from February 2005 to May 2009, where they designed and developed a Satellite Command and Control System application using C#, and later served as the Satellite-products Point of Contact from February 2005 to December 2007.

Jenny Abramov obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Software Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2005 to 2009. Jenny further pursued their education at the same university and completed the Master of Science (MSc) - Direct to Master Excellence Program in Software Engineering from 2008 to 2010.
