Francis Creighton

Francis Creighton is the current President & CEO at Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America. Prior to this, they served as the President & CEO of the Consumer Data Industry Association from May 2017 to November 2022. Before that, they were Adjunct Teaching Faculty at Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy from May 2016 to July 2016.

From January 2014 to April 2017, Francis served as Executive Vice President, Government Affairs at Financial Services Roundtable. Prior to that, they were Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Christopher S. Murphy from January 2013 to December 2014. Before that, they served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative Christopher S. Murphy from January 2009 to December 2013.

Francis began their career in public service as Legislative Director for U.S. Representative Steve Israel from January 2001 to December 2003. Francis then served as Legislative Assistant for U.S. Representative Sam Gejdenson from January 1995 to December 1999. Francis also served as Staff Assistant, LC for U.S. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan from January 1994 to December 1995. After a brief stint in the private sector as Vice President and Chief Lobbyist for Mortgage Bankers Association from January 2003 to December 2009, Francis returned to public service as President & CEO of the Consumer Data Industry Association from May 2017 to November 2022.

Francis Creighton holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science & Francis'story from SUNY Albany. Francis also has a degree in Political Economy from The University of Glasgow.
