Sanjay Patel

Sanjay Patel, CSP, CHMM, has a comprehensive and varied work experience in the field of environmental health and safety. Sanjay has held several leadership positions, including Director roles at Winland Foods and TreeHouse Foods, where they managed multiple food manufacturing facilities across the United States and played a crucial role in building and mentoring EHS teams. Before that, they served as the Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Manager at LBP Manufacturing LLC, where they successfully implemented EHS strategies and brought facilities into compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards. Earlier in their career, Sanjay held positions at Navistar Inc and Navistar Engine Group, where they gained extensive experience in managing EHS programs, auditing and ensuring compliance, and developing and implementing safety culture initiatives. Throughout their career, Sanjay has demonstrated a strong commitment to EHS excellence and has been involved in various aspects of environmental management and reporting.

Sanjay Patel's education history includes obtaining various certifications in the field of occupational safety and health. In 2003, they earned a certification as a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), specializing in hazardous materials management and waste technology. In 2005, they obtained a Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) certification in occupational safety and health technology. In 2013, Sanjay completed the OSHA 501 course, becoming an OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer with authorization to provide OSHA 10 and 30-hour training. In 2014, they received the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification, furthering their expertise in occupational safety and health technology. In 2015, Sanjay obtained a Lean Certification. Furthermore, they hold a Master of Science (M.S) degree in Environmental Engineering, specializing in air pollution and hazardous waste management, from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Sanjay also earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering with a focus on structural design from the University of Baroda in 1991. Additionally, Sanjay has additional certifications, including Certified Security Professional (CSP), obtained in 2020 from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
