Kevin Cusack

Kevin Cusack currently serves as an Assistant Public Defender for Winnebago County since July 2019. Prior legal experience includes a role as a Law Clerk at the Cook County Public Defender focusing on felony trials in 2016, and previous clerkships in the Illinois Attorney General's Office's Criminal Enforcement Bureau and the Homicide Division of the Cook County Public Defender in 2015. Kevin also gained experience as an intern with the Wisconsin State Public Defender's Office and Project Vote Smart. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Kevin began higher education with an Associate of Arts from Madison Area Technical College.
