Carolien Van Hoof began their professional career in 2016 as a Human Resources Assistant at Fairtrade International, where they developed skills in communication, working under time pressure, creating and working with databases, and working with other people. In 2017, they became an Assistant Coach at Bonn International School Sportverein (BISSV), which provided their with organizational and conflict resolution skills. From 2018 to 2021, they held various roles such as Culture Section Writer at The Sundial Press, Diversity & Values Intern at DHL, and Conflict Transformation Research Team Intern and Student Assistant Conflict Transformation Research at Berghof Foundation. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Customer Success Executive at Winnow Solutions, where they work closely with clients to train and onboard their kitchens to use the Winnow systems in order to reduce food waste.

Carolien Van Hoof has a comprehensive education history. Carolien began their education in 2015 when they obtained an IB Diploma from Bonn International School. Carolien then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Law Minoring in International Relations from Sciences Po, which they completed in 2020. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in International Security with an Advanced Gender Certificate from Sciences Po, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
