George Platt

George Platt has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. George started their career in 1987 as a Project Manager at Foseco, Foundry Division of Vesuvius, and worked there for nine years. Following that, they joined Vesuvius and held various roles including UK Foundry Sales Manager, European Sales Director for Foundry & Glass, Managing Director of Vesuvius VGT Dyko GmbH & General Manager of Construction Division EMEA, and Director of Marketing and Technology for EMEA. In 2015, they became the Creator & Founder of Zampell UK Division at Zampell Companies, where they worked until 2017. George then joined Washington Mills as General Manager for a year before moving on to their current role as Managing Director at Winoa since November 2018.

George Platt attended INSEAD in 2009 and 2011 where they studied Business Administration and Management as well as Marketing Management & Strategy, respectively. George also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy from Newcastle University. In 2020, they received a certification in Workplace Transport from Winoa.
