Sara Gabrick

Sara Gabrick, RN, MSN, Winona Health’s chief operating officer of Surgical, Specialty Care and Retail Services, has overall accountability for nursing practice and directly oversees the following areas: Cancer Care, Sports and Orthopedic Services, Sports Medicine, Eye Care Center, Women’s Health, General Surgery, Dermatology, Chemotherapy and Infusion Services, Podiatry, Laboratory, Pathology, Pre-Anesthesia, Operating Room, Sterilization, Post Anesthesia Care, and Anesthesia Services.

Gabrick provides leadership and administrative oversight including strategic planning, financial performance, professional standards of practice, continuous systems improvement, policy, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Winona Health in 1985, Gabrick worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. At Winona Health, Gabrick has worked in several administrative and leadership positions with oversight responsibilities of most of the clinical areas at some point in her career. She currently serves as the chief nursing officer and administrator and service line executive for the Specialty Care Clinics, Surgical Services, and Laboratory as well as the programs and services that align within or are related to those services.

Gabrick graduated from the College of Saint Teresa in Winona, Minnesota with a bachelor of science in Nursing and a bachelor of arts in Spanish. She received her master’s degree in Nursing Administration in 1991 from Winona State University.
