Winston-Salem Symphony
Jared Steward is an experienced administrative and finance professional with a strong background in the performing arts. Currently serving as the Administrative & Technical Director at Leadership Winston-Salem since July 2021, Jared has also held significant roles in various symphonies, including the Western Piedmont Symphony and Winston-Salem Symphony as a substitute/extra percussionist. Previous positions include Director of Operations & Finance and part-time Bookkeeper at The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem, as well as bookkeeping roles at Sawtooth School For Visual Art and Separk Music. Jared’s early career featured supervisory positions in cash posting at United Medical Center and Perot Systems, focusing on payment reconciliation and hospital insurance billing. Educational qualifications include a Master of Music in Percussion from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from Tennessee Technological University.

The Winston-Salem Symphony is one of oldest and most respected professional arts organizations in North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad. Started in 1946, the Symphony incorporated as a non-profit North Carolina corporation in 1952 and has been bringing live music, innovative performances, and educational programming to the region for nearly 75 years.
