Peter Sohmer

Peter Sohmer is an accomplished archivist and project manager with extensive experience in archival and records management through positions at The Winthrop Group, Inc., and various organizations such as NYU and the Historical Society of Woodstock. Since January 2022, Peter has contributed to projects for notable clients including NYU and Columbia University. Previous roles include assistant archivist at the New York Preservation Archive Project, where Peter conducted historical research, and internships with the National Endowment for the Humanities and NYU Libraries. Peter holds a Master of Arts in Archives and Public History from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Wesleyan University, complemented by additional studies at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad and Ethical Culture Fieldston School.
