Kaetrena Davis Kendrick

Dean, Ida Jane Dacus Library & Louise Pettus Archives & Special Collections at Winthrop University

Kaetrena Davis Kendrick is an accomplished academic librarian and educator with extensive experience in leadership, instructional design, and program development. Currently serving as the Lead Faculty for the Minnesota Institute for Early Career Librarians at the University of Minnesota and an Instructor at Library Juice Academy, Kendrick specializes in enhancing the skills and support systems for early career librarians and addressing low morale in academic libraries. Previously held roles include Dean of the Ida Jane Dacus Library at Winthrop University and various librarian positions at the University of South Carolina campuses and Georgia State University, where Kendrick focused on program and curriculum development, research support, and information literacy. Additionally, Kendrick has contributed to KPK: Kpop Kollective as a Senior Fellow for Instructional Design and Information Management, emphasizing training in Korean popular culture and digital humanities. Kendrick holds an M.S. in Library Services from Clark Atlanta University and a B.A. in English from Winthrop University.
