Benjamin Rubin

Benjamin Rubin has extensive work experience in the financial and insurance industries. Benjamin is currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) Premium Finance at Wintrust Financial Corporation, starting in 2019. Prior to this, they worked at FIRST Insurance Funding as the SVP Risk Management from June 2018 to January 2019. From 2015 to 2018, they held the position of Managing Principal and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Integro Insurance Brokers. Benjamin also has experience in non-profit organizations, serving as the Finance Committee Chair at Bernie's Book Bank from March 2011 to August 2015. Benjamin was also a member of the Board of Directors at FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada, A Wintrust Company from August 2012 to June 2015. Benjamin started their career at Lake Forest Bank & Trust, A Wintrust Community Bank in 2006, where they held various roles including Senior Vice President, Assistant Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer, and Senior Credit Analyst. Benjamin also worked at FIRST Insurance Funding Corp, A Wintrust Company as a Cash Management professional from 2001 to 2006.

Benjamin Rubin completed their Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Business at Washington University in St. Louis, from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Benjamin has obtained several certifications. Benjamin received the Capital IQ Pro 101 Certification from S&P Global Market Intelligence in September 2023. Furthermore, in February 2023, they earned the Mentor Badge from Wintrust Financial Corporation. Benjamin also completed certifications in Statistics Foundations 1: The Basics and Change Leadership from LinkedIn in February 2023 and January 2023, respectively. Prior to these certifications, they acquired credentials in Effective Sponsorship Across Difference (for Protégés), Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and How to Be Both Assertive and Likable from LinkedIn in 2022 and 2021.
